Cabinet Conundrum

A couple of weeks ago, we were given a cabinet that dates back to the early 1900′s. Crazy. It’s mostly nicely distressed, but the parts that aren’t nicely distressed, are really banged up. So the dilemma here is, what on earth do I do with it?

It is currently sitting in my front hallway, in hopes that it will tell me what it wants. So far that isn’t working for me. Do I paint it or leave it? The only thing I’ve done with it thus far, is clean it, and fancy it up a little with some great black and white wallpaper to line the shelves. It looks ok… What do you think?

You have a very nice blog! Being a mom these days is a lot different than when I was raising my “only” who is about to be married in 8 days! yikes!

If you want it to hold any value, don’t paint it. The distressed look is in!
