Whoa that was a mouthful.
And this project was a handful. (but it was free!)
This weekend my Mom gave me a big box of pine cones,
so immediately a pomander type project came to mind.
so immediately a pomander type project came to mind.
Although I do love the end result, it was one of the more tedious little projects I have done. I spent nap times for the past 3 days glueing teeny tiny little pine cones onto a styrofoam ball. Good times.
(Well, I was watching General Hospital at the same time, and that’s a party in itself I tell ya.
Now my dirty little secret is out. Yes I watch a soap opera. There I said it out loud. Don’t tell anyone….)

Kinda cute?
It looks nice in my spring inspired set up.

A little close up of my teeny tiny cones! Aren’t they cute!
Here’s How To:

Just get out your handy little glue gun, and glue each little piece on the ball. You can use anything – Easter Eggs, buttons, flowers, I could go on….

Happy times, not. This is how I felt about a quarter of the way through!

The frown face is hilarious! (I’ve felt that same way so many times in the midst of a project) In the end, your little pomander/topiary is adorable and will be so useful throughout the year!
Love the sweet little cones and laughed when the face turned up! I like your bowl of ball, each one so interesting.
So simple, yet so fabulous! I love the frowny face…totally know how that can feel. Thanks for yet another great project.
I love this, and Im not sure I would have 1/10th of the patience you must have had to get it finished! Great job!
This came out beautiful. I love the earthiness of it and the mix with the other balls is great.
