My Fall Front Porch

Welcome to my home!

Every season I like to make our front entrance festive and inviting.
And depending on the weather and what materials are available,
my front porch is just a little different every year.

Last year and the year before I had a lot of squash & pumpkins
around the house which made decorating very easy.

But this year the weather was so summer-like
for so long that I just wasn’t in the mood for pumpkins.
I also didn’t want toss out my summer planters,
so I decided to decorate around them.

I love all the flowers that are around this time of year,
so why not include them in fall decorating?

Then as the weather changed and the pumpkins started showing up in the grocery store,
I slowly added them to my step.

First these three little ones.

And then some big ones…

Along with grasses from the fields…

And crows, because they’re everywhere this year,
plus I just really like them!  ;)

It all just kind of came together and works.
Just simple and full of harvest goodness!

So I’m off to indulge in Thanksgiving yumminess!
I’m really looking forward to this long weekend full of family, food,
card games, leaf jumping, and picture taking!

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!
Have a great weekend!
