Mmmm. Salsa is great with everything isn’t it? Nachos, tacos, grilled chicken, you name it.
Especially if it’s fresh salsa! It’s so easy to make, and most of the time I have the ingredients on hand!
This one I made last weekend for the hubby’s birthday, and I served it with a Mexican Style Flank Steak that I will post about later. It was delish!!
Fresh Salsa 6 medium sized tomatoes 1 ripe mango 1 pepper, yellow or orange for colour interest 2 tbsp chopped red onion 1 garlic clove handful chopped cilantro juice from 1-2 limes (depending on your tastes) 1 – 2 tbsp olive oil (depending on how much lime juice you use)
Combine all ingredients.
Let rest for about an hour to let the flavours combine.
Serve with grilled chicken, tacos, grilled steak, or nachos!
I find this salsa is best eaten on the day it is made!
