Make this Easy Birch Bark Christmas Tree Garland in minutes with just a few simple supplies!

Today I’ve joined a talented group of bloggers, and we are sharing some simple Christmas craft ideas with you.  We hope that we can inspire your holiday decorating!  Thank you to Shannon of AKA Design for organizing.  Make sure to take a tour through all the Christmas crafts at the bottom of this post! xo

For my craft I made this Easy Birch Bark Christmas Tree Garland, and it is the most simple craft ever.  It took me 5 minutes to make.  But I think it’s great!  And really the point of this post is just to remind you, and myself, that things do not need to be complicated or take hours to make for them to be beautiful. Sometimes you can create the cutest things with the most simple supplies…and often times with things you already have at home.  I love to be able to ‘shop’ my craft cabinet and create new things. I’m actually getting tired of having too much stuff, so it makes me happy to be able to use up supplies I have already.

Last year my friend Tiffany found a box of these little birch bark Christmas tree cut outs and scooped them up for me…how great is it to have friends that know you so well!  Love that.

I love adding natural elements to my Christmas decor, especially birch…it reminds me of where I grew up.  So I decided to make a simple little garland for my Christmas mantel.

Easy Birch Bark Christmas Tree Garland

To make this garland I used red & white bakers twine, the birch tree cut outs and a glue gun.  That’s it.  I just glued the birch trees to the twine, spacing them about 2 1/2 inches apart.  Simple and adorable!

Then I hung the garland up on my mantel.  Look how cute it looks!  I love simple to make crafts.  Especially ones that take just minutes to make with inexpensive supplies.

I am a big fan of incorporating natural elements, too, and I happen to love birch trees :) I actually have a couple of birch bark pieces my husband collected for me recently when he was in the woods so I'm thinking a garland may be my next craft project - thanks for the inspiration :)
