Lollipop Pots! Fancying up the Front Step

As you may already know, I love to fancy up my front step for each holiday.
I’ve done Fall, Christmas and now Valentines Day.
This is just a simple, I mean really simple little project.  But sometimes simple is best.
And it looks really cute from the street.  A nice little pop of colour in all the brown slushy mess!

A quick tutorial!

I found these sparkly hearts at Michaels for 50% off – each $4.99
Plus the dowel – $0.99
Ribbon – $2.99
Yarn – I already had.  Total Cost under $15!

I didn’t feel like painting the rod, so I wrapped it in yarn.

Now we are ready to go!

I glued the rod onto the back of the heart,
then used my pretty heart ribbon and tied it onto the stick.

I just pushed the rod into my pot, and voila!
Looks like a lollipop!

Happy Valentines!

Where do you live that there is no snow piled up to your thighs?

My husband piled our summer pots into the corner of our porch. Perhaps something like this would make them look like we meant to put them there…

I loved this idea so much I had to share on my blog on “Shout Out Sunday”.

What a great decoration. I’m going to have to go find some versatile pots that I can put on my front door for all the holidays I’m going to make these for!

    Thanks for sharing!
