Master Bedroom Project

So my hubby is out of town until tonite, and he’s been gone for 5 days.  Leave me alone with 3 kids for that long, and he’s left me thinking…
Thinking about redecorating!  Wait till he sees what I have in mind!
Like in most homes, our master bedroom is neglected.  We have never really had a nice retreat, and I think it’s time.

Our room is huge, which is a bit of a challenge in itself, because we need to do a lot to make it feel cosy.  Our bed and dressers are on one side of the room, and on the other side is an enormous blank wall, which may be a good spot for a reading nook.

Anyway, here is what I have currently to work with:

Builder beige walls.
Ok, we have this bed from IKEA.  I like the simple lines.
And we have 2 of these:  One on each side of our bed.
And that about sums it up.

AND here is what I have found for my inspiration!  LOVE!

Luv, luv, luv the wallpaper…

Here it is up close.  It’s from Cavern Home Wall Paper.
I’m thinking of putting it up behind our bed.

OR this:

This loveliness!
I REALLY want to put some wainscoting in our home,
and I’m thinkin’ that behind our bed may just be the place!
I love the clean lines and the crisp white.
Doesn’t this look amazing!

And the chandelier here would be perfect above our bed.

And these lamps from Pottery Barn!  Gorgeous!

And a couple of wingback chairs for the reading nook….

Just endless, endless possibilities….

So what do you think?  Hey Mr. Pretty, if you are reading this….you love it right?  Just say yes honey.
