I also can’t leave here today without acknowledging the heartache that many Southern Albertans are feeling right now, as we head into our Canada Day celebrations.  Last week our region was hit with devastating floods. In fact they were so devastating, that they are now calling the Alberta Floods the worst natural disaster to hit our province in history.  Lives were lost.  Many, many, many people are still not back in their homes, many have no power, many have lost everything.  It’s devastating. My heart is heavy for all of you affected.

Happy Canada Day! Since I am actually in the US, this is very helpful for our Independence Day Celebration on July 4 – at which time I will have 8 out-of-town relatives in my home for the whole weekend 🙂 Thank you! Great ideas!

What a great idea for a post! And best wishes to Alberta. My sister is there on slightly higher ground so she was ok, but she did have house guests for a while. I hope everyone manages to cheer themselves up a little with Stampede. (www.cookingdangerously.com #tgcbb)
